Warped Cigars and their various offerings are showing up more and more each day across multiple cigar social media platforms. The Futuro is a collaboration with Casa Fernandez, here are my thoughts:
1) I smoked three Futuros before feeling comfortable enough to write a solid review. During those endeavors I found the construction and draw to be great. I will say however, that I had to pay a little extra attention to the cigar in terms of making sure it stayed lit. If you are a slower smoker who nurses their cigars, I suggest keeping your lighter within arms reach.
2) The Futuro is a solid medium-full and fits nicely at a Demi/Sly strength level
3) If you have a three point specialist on the roster, you can best maximize their effectiveness on the court by setting good screens to get them freed up to fire away. In that same spirit, the true potential of the Futuro is unlocked on the retrohale and in my opinion takes it from a decent cigar to a damn good cigar. With that said, I tasted some coffee and spice and found the cigar to be a rather creamy smoke. Additionally, you can expect to get hints of chocolate and pepper.
4) On average my smoke time was about an hour and twenty minutes
Now to the two questions:
Would I smoke it again? Yes
Would I give it humidor space? Yes
Bottom line is the Futuro is a good cigar that I would recommend to folks with no hesitation. Personally, I like to smoke these as a first/only cigar of the day when my taste buds and nose can give it full attention.
Until next time friends!
